RHOS Male Voice Choir’s last concert before the summer break was a true homecoming for Musical
Director James Llewelyn Jones.

The July 15th concert was at St Agatha’s Church, Llanymynech – the church where James sang in the choir as a child.

“It was singing in the choir at St Agatha’s that gave me my love of choral singing,” James said. “It is a beautiful church and it a great church to sing in.

“I always love coming back to St Agatha’s and seeing so many friends and family,” he added.

“The house where I grew up is right across the road from the church and it really feels like coming home to be back here.”

The church – which lies on the border of England and Wales – was packed for the concert which
included a selection of favourites from the choir’s extensive repertoire.

The concert raised more than £1000 for church funds.
