WHILE THE WIND was doing its best outside, it was Rhos Male Voice Choir that raised the roof of the Stiwt Theatre, Rhosllannerchrugog during their annual St David’s Day concert on Saturday 29th February. A large, appreciative audience were treated to a wide variety of music with a Welsh flavour – including ‘March of the Men of Harlech’, ‘Delilah’, ‘Cwm Rhondda’ and ‘Gwahoddiad’. The choir were joined on stage by local mezzo-soprano, Angharad Lyddon, a finalist at Cardiff Singer of the World 2019. Angharad, too, performed a wide selection of pieces, both operatic and modern, to enthral the audience. She also joined the choir for some joint items that proved to be popular among the audience too.

Further information about the choir can be found on its website – rmvc.co.uk. Anyone interested in joining the choir should come along to a rehearsal – we’d love to see you. We rehearse on Monday evenings at the Stiwt Theatre, Rhos and Thursday evenings at Capel Bethel, Chapel Street, Ponciau. Rehearsals begin at 7.15pm.
