Cor Meibion Rhosllannerchrugog will celebrate St David’s Day and their victory at the Eisteddfod held in Wrexham in 2025 by inviting local soloists, composers and groups to collaborate in a gala evening of Welsh culture and music at the Stiwt Theatre. The concert will feature • Soprano Bethan Elin • Local composer Brian Hughes will accompany the flautist Miriam Hughes. • Local baritone Ian Pritchard Jones will sing solo and in combination with the choir. • The Stiwt’s own youth theatre, Theatr Ifanc, will stage selected drama/musical pieces and conclude by singing with the choir and soloists. • The choir and soloists will sing pieces by Welsh composers including Brian Hughes, Karl Jenkins, Eric Jones, Robat Arwyn, Caradoc Williams, plus traditional chapel hymns and ballads.
