[ Treble Clef ] KEVIN J. WHITLEY (B.Mus Hons, ALCM, MBA) was born in Wrexham, North East Wales, United Kingdom. He graduated with Honours in music at the University of Wales, Cardiff where he specialised in performance and piano accompaniment. He accompanied the University Choir for two consecutive years.

Kevin also studied organ with Roger Fisher and, in 1994 played the organ at St. David's Hall, Cardiff for Mahler's Symphony No 8 and again in 1995 for Walton's Belshazzars Feast. He played the organ for Stainer's Crucifixion at St. Chad's Church, Llangollen in 2000.

Since leaving college, Kevin has achieved an Advanced Certificate in piano performance and the A.L.C.M. Diploma.

In 1995 he was appointed accompanist to the Rhos Male Voice Choir and has toured Scotland, Canada, Germany, Italy and USA. In 1997, he accompanied the choir at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod where they won Male Voice Choir of the World.

In 1999, Kevin is also accompanist to Cantorion Rhos - a 50 strong mixed choir based in Rhos, and Choral Variations, a mixed choir based in Llangollen.

Kevin is in much demand by soloists and choirs and is Musical Director at the annual Young Singers Competitions held in Rhyl Pavilion. In 2001 Kevin achieved an MBA qualification. He has also appeared on S4C, ITV and BBC Television and Radio. Kevin is teaching Music and ICT at Bishop Heber High School, Malpas.
